Floodlights (with a typical light width expanse of 40 feet) are better for tall trees (up to five bulbs of around 50 watts each). Bullet lights and spot lights have a narrow field and are therefore better for shorter trees (trees which are less than 20 feet tall only need a couple of 20 watt uplighters).
It would be amazing if we could spend more time out there in the late evening after the day cools off, but right now it is just pitch black out there. (Which is nice if you are star gazing, but not so much if you are trying to hang out and have a conversation.) So it is definitely time we come up with a few outdoor lighting ideas to brighten up the backyard in the evening.
