Over a dining table: Even conventional chandeliers have morphed into tubular modern forms in interesting compositions. And large scale drum shapes add flair. Hang a pair or three to five (odd numbers are pleasing to the eye) along the length of the table. Stagger the heights for interest, say three on one level, two slightly higher. General guidelines are 30 inches above (with an 8-foot ceiling, adding three inches for each additional foot). The outer edge of the lamp should be at least 12 inches from the outer edge of the table (especially with large ones, so your head doesn’t bump into it).
The kitchen is one of the most important rooms of every home: Here, the family comes together to cook, eat and spend time together. Therefore, a kitchen should be practical, functional, comfortable and inviting at the same time.
A simple bulb hanging from exposed cord can look sleek and modern, but sometimes you want to spruce up the cord a bit. With a little dismantling, oversize wooden beads can be strung onto the cord at any length you wish. Masking even just a short section will give the hanging light a little flair and distract from the exposed cord.
Why choosing a pendant lamp for a bedroom? For several reasons, and the first is saving the space: even the smallest bedroom can be lit up with a pendant lamp, and you don’t need any bedside tables to accommodate a lamp. Second, creating several layers of light is a good idea for any space, especially for a bedroom: they will make it look more spacious and you will be able to change the lighting according to your mood.
